The 2005 Sessions This year’s Eden Sessions will feature four shows, with each night to be in aid of a specific charity.
Keane 1st Monday August 2005 (sold out) Support band The Editors
01/08/05 First on stage were the 'Breakmakers' a very talented group and much enjoyed by the crowd and myself. 01/08/05 Next on stage at 8.45pm were the 'Editors' Fairly heaver rock with trouser turn-up vibrating bass, it was Keane turn at 10pm the concert ended at 11.15pm 01/08/05 Keane live on stage, yet another magical Eden Session, this one sent tingles down your spine, as you listened and watched in absolute ore.
Embrace 19th August 2005 www.embrace.co.uk (a few left) Hard Fi latest single 'Tied Up Too Tight' will be the first on stage.
19/08/05 A crowd of some 5000 visitors welcomed Hard Fi onto the stage at the start of the Embrace Concert. As usual the illuminations were amazing and an incredible nightscape was created.
Basement Jaxx Friday night 26th August (sold out)
Lady Sovereign, hip hop, will start the evening.
26/08/05 Sound checks for tonight's concert with 'Basement Jaxx' another sell out!
Lady Sovereign were first on stage, and really got the crowd going. After lots of smoke and mega bass, Basement Jaxx hit the stage in a blaze of lights. Basement Jaxx in full flow.
Ian Brown British Sea Power Badly Drawn Boy 27th August 2005
British Sea Power started the evening, this is their second time at the Eden sessions and a warm welcome was given by the crowd.
The finale of British Sea Power session included a bear on stage. Saranda Bogujeci spoke about the night's benefactor, Manchester Aid to Kosovo, and her tragic story surviving the massacre in 1999 The Eden project has joined the charity in building a peace park in Saranda's home town in Kosovo to remember those who died. www.makonline.org Next on was BDB 'Damon Gough', he held the crowds spell bound with his newly written lyrics and even a karaoke session to a Jackson 5 number. Most of the crowd had come to see top of the bill 'Ian Brown' Ian gave an energetic performance and the well lubricated crowd loved him, and at the end of the concert called for an encore, but were disappointed.
All in all another magical Season of Sessions 4 + 1 this year with an extra for Live 8 You can never be sure another might not be squeezed in before the stage becomes an Ice rink once again. Think the Stones are on tour!!
Thank you to everyone who have worked so hard behind the stage curtains, all the staff at Eden and I'm sure ever one is looking forward to next year sessions already!
My special thanks to Bryher and Dave for their help with getting my photo pass. Bryher (black jacket) talking to Christine (yellow jacket) Dave in the picture on the right, pointing out the emergency exits to the beer tents.

| ‘The
Man Who Owned the Earth’ is being staged by the Eden Performance Team,
whose previous programme of shows at Glastonbury Festival last summer and
over Christmas and early spring, delighted audiences – both young and old.
“The show isn’t heavy duty, however, it has a lot of humour – as you would imagine from one of the Monty Python team – but it does ask us to think a little more carefully about how we use our resources.” Every Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday in the Eden Arena at 11am and 2pm, throughout the
summer. There is no additional price for watching the show - it is
included in the standard admission prices into Eden.
